Terms of Service
These terms govern access to FinOps Beacon. By creating or using an account, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, your organization.
The service
FinOps Beacon connects to Microsoft Azure using credentials you provide and performs read-only inventory, cost, metric, and recommendation analysis. Recommendations are informational; you remain responsible for validating and carrying out any Azure change.
Accounts and administrators
You must provide accurate information, protect account credentials, and promptly remove access that is no longer authorized. Organization administrators can invite users, change roles, configure integrations, export data, and delete the organization.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, probe or disrupt its security, access another tenant, upload unlawful material, reverse engineer protected components except where law permits, or use the service to infringe others’ rights. You must have authority to connect each Azure tenant and subscription.
Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds
Plan features, prices, billing intervals, and included limits are those displayed when an order is placed. You may cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal or support. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues through the paid period unless stated otherwise. Except where law requires or a written order says otherwise, charges already paid are non-refundable. Duplicate or erroneous charges should be reported within 30 days for review.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may change to improve security, reliability, or legal compliance. We may suspend access to address misuse, security risk, nonpayment, or legal requirements.
Customer data
You retain rights in your data and authorize its processing only to operate and secure the service. The Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy describe handling and deletion.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Cost projections and recommendations may be incomplete or delayed by upstream Azure data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinOps Beacon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to amounts paid for the service during the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your organization at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including payment, intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, and liability limits—continue to apply.
