Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor provide useful native cost analysis and recommendations. FinOps Beacon adds a shared review workflow: connect findings to resource owners, review cost allocation and keep decisions with the team.

Read-only scans, clear access requirements. The scanner does not create, resize or delete Azure resources. Connect Microsoft uses your existing permissions; its delegated grant is not itself a read-only role. Administrator approval or additional billing access may be needed. The manual connection can use dedicated read roles.
Findings depend on your resources and the data Azure provides. Estimated savings are opportunities to investigate, not guaranteed results.
Before you connect Azure
Can I estimate a deployment I have not built?
FinOps Beacon reviews resources and cost data in an existing Azure environment. For a new deployment estimate, use Microsoft's Azure Pricing Calculator.
What do I need for the trial?
A confirmed account and access to an Azure subscription you are authorized to review. Check your organization's consent and billing-access requirements before signup; your 14-day trial starts when the organization account is created. See the connection checklist.
Will the app stop or delete resources?
No. Scans read data and surface findings. Your team reviews each recommendation and makes any approved infrastructure change in Azure.
Will I be charged when the trial ends?
No card is required and signup does not start an automatic charge. Choose Pro or Business to keep scanning after the trial. AWS remains a separate limited pilot.
