AWS · Limited pilot

Build a clearer AWS cost review.

Bring your AWS review into the same workspace as Azure. We're testing AWS with a limited group before opening it to more teams.

AWS public signup is not open yet. Creating an account or buying a plan does not enable AWS connections. No release date has been announced.

Opens your email app. You review and send the message. No account, payment or demo call is required.

One workspace, two clouds

What the AWS pilot is exploring

Account and resource context

Review connected AWS accounts and available inventory. Select Azure, AWS or All clouds to keep each review in context.

A consistent review workflow

Use the same organization, team and review tools across enabled clouds. AWS access is granted separately from the plan.

Customer-controlled access

The pilot uses a customer AWS read role and temporary credentials. Review decisions in FinOps Beacon do not change your AWS resources.

AWS billing accuracy and broader account coverage are still being validated. Available data depends on permissions, source setup and history; missing billing data does not mean zero spend.

Useful today

Start your AWS cost review with the source data

  1. Check billing access and freshness. Confirm which account's costs you can see in Cost Explorer. New activation needs time to prepare data; compare completed periods. See AWS's Cost Explorer setup guidance.
  2. Review native recommendations. Cost Optimization Hub brings together AWS recommendations, including rightsizing and commitment options. Check your coverage and setup in the AWS Cost Optimization Hub guide.
  3. Validate one decision. Check the workload owner, dependencies and commitment terms before making a change. Record the decision and compare later billing data; estimated savings are not realized savings.
